External counselling services
Are you considering starting your own business or simply want to learn more about entrepreneurship?
The Trier Start-up Office (Gründungsbüro Trier) offers advice, information, and support to guide you on your path to starting a business. This free service is available to students, staff, and alumni of Trier University of Applied Sciences and Trier University.
Studying and being a mother/father is already a major challenge. But what happens once you have successfully completed your studies and are ready to start your career?
In the individual counselling session, you will receive answers to the following questions:
- How do I recognise whether an employer is family-friendly? And what does ‘family-friendly’ actually mean in the context of the world of work?
- How can I reconcile a job with my caring responsibilities? What can I ask for and who can support me/us?
- How do I market my family situation and any interruptions or extensions to my studies in my application and interview?
We will also advise you on your individual application strategy, your application documents and the job interview. If you are interested, we will introduce you to the support options offered by the Federal Employment Agency when registering as a jobseeker/unemployed.
